Parking is accessible on-site in the secure basement car park accessed by turning off Research Park Drive.

Radiation oncology
Australia’s first stereotactic centre of excellence, Icon Macquarie Park is the only centre to offer 5D Clinics CyberKnife, Gamma Knife and a linear accelerator in one location, enabling highly precise, less invasive treatment across a wide range of cancers.
Fast access to radiotherapy consultation and treatment.
Private health insurance is not required for radiotherapy. Many treatment costs are covered by Medicare for patients with a valid Medicare card. Your individual treatment plan and any expected out of pocket costs will be discussed with you as part of your care.
Reduced gap payments for patients who qualify for Medicare Safety Nets.
Eligible DVA card holders may also have radiotherapy costs covered.

5D Clinics CyberKnife
Clinically proven, non-invasive treatment that delivers high-dose radiation with extreme precision to treat tumours and other lesions almost anywhere in the body.
Fully robotic radiation delivery system that can deliver targeted radiation beams from many different directions.
Delivers sub-millimetre accuracy with real-time tumour tracking, sparing healthy tissue and organs and helping to reduce the risk of side effects.
Typically completed in 1–5 treatment sessions, with most treatments lasting 30–60 minutes.
In some cases, may be an alternative to traditional surgery (no anaesthesia, no overnight hospital stays and no surgical recovery time).
Suitable for tumours and lesions in the prostate, lung, liver, spine, kidney, brain and more.

Gamma Knife
Precise stereotactic radiosurgery for cranial, brain and neurological conditions using the state-of-the-art Leksell Gamma Knife® system.
Pinpoint accuracy – Almost 200 beams of focused radiation target the affected area with sub-millimetre precision while sparing healthy tissue.
Outpatient procedure – Safe, painless treatment with no incision or hospital stay.
Shorter treatment course – Most patients require only 1–5 sessions, compared to up to 30 with other forms of radiation therapy.
Dedicated radiation therapy planning, with MRI and CT scans completed on‑site at Macquarie Medical Imaging, supporting a coordinated planning process.

Linac
Precise radiation therapy treatment for all cancer types using a state-of-the-art Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator (linac).
Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) – A technique for breast cancer patients that reduces the potential impact of radiation on the heart.
Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) – A technique that utilises advanced imaging equipment and computer software (including MRI, CT and x-ray) to precisely target a tumour with radiation beams.
Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) – A technique that delivers high dose radiation therapy to cancerous tumours, while limiting the impact of radiation on healthy surrounding tissue.
Stereotactic Radiotherapy – An advanced technique that delivers pinpoint precise radiation therapy to treat small tumours with well-defined edges, including tumours that have spread from a primary cancer.
Surface Guided Radiotherapy (SGRT) using Varian’s IDENTIFY System – An advanced technology that delivers highly-accurate radiation therapy without the need to have permanent tattoo marks.
Volumetric Modulated Radiotherapy (VMAT) – A technique that delivers radiation therapy beams in a series of arcs or angles by a rotating machine to allow for greater access to a cancerous tumour.
