Located on-site at Epworth Richmond, Icon Richmond offers cutting-edge radiotherapy treatment for all cancer types. We offer Leksell Gamma Knife® technology, providing advanced, non-invasive treatments for a wide range of complex brain, skull base, and neurological conditions.
Treatment is delivered by an experienced team dedicated to ensuring that patients and their loved ones receive support and exceptional care every step of the way. Our patients are seen by one doctor for the duration of their treatment.

Pinpoint accuracy – Almost 200 beams of focused radiation target the affected area with sub-millimetre precision while sparing healthy tissue
Outpatient procedure – Safe, painless treatment with no incision or hospital stay
Shorter treatment course – Most patients require only 1–5 sessions, compared to up to 30 with other forms of radiation therapy
Radiotherapy planning and treatment are provided on the same campus, with dedicated RT-planning CT and co-located MRI access
Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) – A technique for breast cancer patients that reduces the potential impact of radiation on the heart
HyperArc – An advanced technique that precisely target multiple intra-cranial metastases with high doses of radiation whilst minimising doses to surrounding healthy brain tissue
Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) – A technique that utilises advanced imaging equipment and computer software (including CT and x-ray) to precisely target a tumour with radiation beams
Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) – A technique that delivers high dose radiotherapy to cancerous tumours, while limiting the impact of radiation on healthy surrounding tissue
Stereotactic Radiotherapy – An advanced technique that delivers pinpoint precise radiotherapy to treat small tumours with well-defined edges, including tumours that have spread from a primary cancer
Surface Guided Radiotherapy (SGRT) using Varian’s IDENTIFY system – An advanced technology that delivers highly-accurate radiotherapy without the need to have permanent tattoo marks
Volumetric Modulated Radiotherapy (VMAT) – A technique that delivers radiotherapy beams in a series of arcs or angles by a rotating machine to allow for greater access to a cancerous tumour
