Biography
I am committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based care that supports each patient’s unique needs and circumstances. My approach is grounded in compassion, open communication and clinical integrity. I am passionate about using innovation to improve outcomes and ensure every patient feels informed, supported and empowered throughout their treatment journey.
Dr Peter Nguyen is a radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Midland and Icon Cancer Centre Rockingham. He completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia and later obtained a Master of Cancer Sciences with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne. He completed his specialist training across leading South Australian and Northern Territory centres, including the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Northern Territory Radiation Oncology.
Dr Nguyen recently completed a fellowship in proton beam therapy at University College London Hospital, focusing on paediatric cancers and advanced radiation therapy techniques. He holds a fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) and has a strong clinical interest in lung, genitourinary, head and neck, and paediatric cancers.
He has presented at national scientific meetings and has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications, including research on proton craniospinal irradiation in paediatric medulloblastoma and outcomes in metastatic colorectal cancer. Dr Nguyen is also passionate about medical education and has held academic and leadership roles including clinical associate lecturer at the University of Adelaide and RANZCR committee positions.
With a patient-centred approach and an interest in leveraging technology to improve cancer care, Dr Nguyen is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatment tailored to individual needs.
