Biography
Dr Eve Tiong believes in going above and beyond for her patients. Through her own personal experience and her work in oncology, Dr Tiong is passionate about delivering exceptional holistic care to patients throughout treatment and beyond.
Dr Eve Tiong is an experienced radiation oncologist based at Icon Cancer Centre in Midland and Rockingham. After completing a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of New South Wales, Dr Tiong established her oncology career at Singapore’s National Cancer Centre and National University Hospital in 2009. She returned to NSW to continue specialist training in radiation oncology at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney and The Canberra Hospital and was awarded fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2015.
She went on to complete a radiation oncology fellowship specialising in urological cancers, lymphoma, gastrointestinal malignancies and sarcoma at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada. She maintains an active interest in cancer education and regularly provides information to GPs, trainee doctors and the community. Dr Tiong is experienced in delivering best-practice care using advanced radiation therapy techniques. She re-established low-dose-rate (LDR) brachytherapy in Western Australia and offers focal treatment at Hollywood Private Hospital as part of the LIBERATE trial registry.
Dr Tiong is proficient in English and can converse in Mandarin and Malay, and welcomes the opportunity to support patients in their preferred language. She has clinical experience across a broad range of solid tumour malignancies and subspecialises in genitourinary (prostate, kidney, bladder), upper and lower gastrointestinal (stomach, bowel, oesophagus, pancreas), skin cancers and lymphoma.
