Biography
Dr Peter Nguyen is a Radiation Oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Midland and Rockingham. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Western Australia in 2013 and obtained a Master of Cancer Sciences (MCncrSc) from the University of Melbourne in 2021. Dr Nguyen trained in South Australia and the Northern Territory and became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2024. He went on to complete a Clinical Fellowship in Proton Beam Therapy at University College London Hospital, where he gained extensive experience treating a broad range of cancers in adults and children.
Dr Nguyen is passionate about education, having held positions on the national Radiation Oncology Trainee Committee, the organising committee of the 2022 RANZCR Annual Scientific Meeting in Adelaide, and as a Clinical Associate Lecturer at the University of Adelaide. He has presented at national scientific meetings and has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications.
