Dr Tiong believes in going above and beyond for her patients. Through both personal experience and her work in oncology, she is passionate about delivering exceptional holistic care to patients throughout treatment and beyond.
Dr Eve Tiong obtained her medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 2006. After her residency years in Sydney, she worked in Singapore at the National Cancer Centre and the National University Hospital. Returning to Australia she commenced formal radiation oncology training in Liverpool Hospital, Sydney, with training rotations through the Prince of Wales Hospital and Canberra Hospital. Dr Tiong was awarded fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2015.
Dr Tiong further developed her expertise in radiation oncology by undertaking a radiation oncology fellowship (genitourinary and gastrointestinal malignancies, lymphoma and sarcoma) at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada. She is experienced in advanced techniques such as stereotactic radiotherapy, MRI-simulation and image guided radiotherapy.
Dr Tiong consults and treats patients from Icon Midland and Rockingham, and welcomes referrals for all patients, with a special interest in prostate, lymphoma, genitourinary, gastrointestinal (upper and lower) and breast cancer. She is actively involved in research, having published in breast cancer, prostate cancer and sarcoma. Dr Tiong has played an integral role leading the Midland Prostate Clinic with local urologist Dr Elayne Ooi and specialist medical oncologists from Icon Cancer Centre Midland. This unique clinic delivers a multidisciplinary approach to prostate care, so that patients have peace of mind they are getting the best possible treatment option based on their diagnosis, lifestyle and circumstances.
