Congratulations to the Rockingham Peel Group – South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) - Integrated Cancer Team on being named the winner of The Bakery Innovation Excellence category at this year’s Australian Institute of Management (AIM) WA Pinnacle Awards.
Our Icon Cancer Centre Rockingham team are an integral part of this service, which has seen the private cancer care sector, healthcare and government partners, non-government organisations and the local community come together to help patients access cancer care closer to home in the Rockingham and Kwinana communities.
This collaborative approach has significantly reduced travel and wait times, improved service equity, and enhanced the overall patient experience.
An impressive 96% of patients reported that their views are always listened to, reflecting the service’s dedication to quality and safety.
In recognition of their achievement, the team have chosen Breast Care WA to receive the $20,000 AIM WA workplace training prize awarded to each category winner.
