Your care team

Be supported by a team who truly cares — with empathy, expertise and understanding.

Care without compromise

We believe in a personalised approach to cancer care that is thoughtfully crafted around you and your loved ones. Our cancer care team takes the time to understand what matters most to you, providing support grounded in compassion, knowledge and hope.

Each of our centres is dedicated to caring for people with cancer and haematological conditions. From doctors and nurses to radiation therapists, pharmacists and administrative staff, every member of our team is here to help. Where clinical trials are available, dedicated coordinators are also on hand to support patients taking part in research.

As Australia’s largest dedicated provider of cancer care, we live our vision every day – to deliver the best cancer care possible, as close to home as possible.

We have a proud history of pioneering private cancer care in Australia. Our specific focus on cancer care means we have no competing priorities. All of our people are dedicated to the unique needs of our cancer and haematology patients, and providing exceptional, personal cancer care.

With you, every moment that matters

Everyone in your multidisciplinary team is trained to support you with your own needs throughout treatment. Here are some of the people you may meet and the role they have in your care.

Medical oncologists

Doctors who specialise in diagnosing and treating cancer with the use of chemotherapy drugs, immunotherapy and hormone therapies. They develop and continually review the chemotherapy treatment plan and in most cases, lead and manage the overall care.

Haematologists

Doctors who specialise in treating blood disorders and cancers affecting the blood (e.g. leukaemia) or blood forming organs such as the bone marrow.

Radiation oncologists

Specialist doctors who prescribe radiation therapy treatments for all types of cancer and oversee the management of care for patients.

Medical physicists

Physicists play an important role in quality assurance to ensure our radiation treatment machines are maintained according to regulatory standards and that our working environment abides by radiation safety policies.

Nuclear Medicine Physicians

Doctors who specialise in using radioactive materials to diagnose and treat diseases such as cancer.

Medical receptionist and administration team members

Team members who are on hand to answer any questions you may have relating to your appointment bookings, transport and accommodation requirements, and billing enquiries.

Radiation therapists

Team members who are responsible for the planning and delivery of your daily radiation therapy treatments.

Oncology nurses

Nurses who support your overall wellbeing throughout your treatment, including administering your chemotherapy, monitoring your symptoms and managing any side effects. They can answer any questions you may have and provide additional sources of information.

Pharmacists

Team members who are committed to supporting your care. Pharmacists work with you, alongside your doctor and nursing team, to make sure the treatment you receive is optimal and safe and answer any questions about your medications.

We're here for you

If you have a question about becoming a patient at one of centres or accessing our treatment services, we are here to help. We know that navigating a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, and can help you understand the process and what steps to take next.
