Biography

Dr Jane Windsor is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred cancer care. She values clear communication and works closely with patients and their loved ones to ensure they feel informed, supported and comfortable asking questions throughout treatment.

Dr Jane Windsor is a radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Canberra and Mackay. She completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiation Technology (Radiation Therapy) at Queensland University of Technology before studying medicine at the University of Notre Dame Australia, graduating with her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2015. She later completed specialist training in radiation oncology and was awarded fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2023.

Before becoming a radiation oncologist, Dr Windsor worked as a radiation therapist. This experience provides her with a strong understanding of the radiotherapy treatment pathway and supports her patient‑centred approach to care.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Windsor is actively involved in medical education and research, contributing to the training of medical students and junior doctors. Her research in breast cancer technology advancement has been presented at international oncology conferences including the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) annual scientific meeting.

Dr Windsor treats a broad range of solid tumour malignancies, with a special clinical interest in breast cancer, skin cancer, colorectal cancer, haematologic cancers and gynaecological cancers. She also has a strong interest in women’s health and supporting patients through complex and sensitive stages of care.
