Biography
Dr Elizabeth Foley is committed to providing the best possible outcomes for her patients through evidence-based medicine. Through her meticulous attention to detail, use of contemporary radiation therapy, and commitment to outstanding support and holistic care, Dr Foley ensures her patients feel reassured and supported at every stage of their treatment.
In 2012, she completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) at Flinders University before undertaking specialist radiation oncology training across the South Australian and Northern Territory network. In 2021, she was awarded a fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR).
Dr Foley has held appointments as a radiation oncologist at Northern Territory Radiation Oncology (NTRO) and honorary staff specialist at Royal Darwin Hospital. She was also the Director of Training and Clinical Supervisor at NTRO and a principal investigator of clinical trials at the Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre. Dr Foley is dedicated to patient advocacy, fostering respectful relationships by listening to individual concerns and creating collaborative care plans with patients and their loved ones.
Her clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies and advanced technologies, including stereotactic, intensity-modulated and volumetric arc therapy (IMRT/VMAT). She has a special interest in breast, colorectal, gynaecological, and lung cancers, as well as palliative care.
