Dr Dinesh Vignarajah

Biography

Dr Dinesh Vignarajah is a Radiation Oncologist committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based cancer care. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored treatment plans and prioritises clear communication to support patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.

Dr Vignarajah completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at James Cook University in 2006 and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2016. He further advanced his academic training with a Master of Clinical Epidemiology (MCliEpi) from the University of Newcastle in 2023.

He has been practising as a radiation oncologist at Sunshine Coast and Hinterland Health Service since 2017. Prior to this, he completed a Clinical Oncology Fellowship at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in the United Kingdom, where he gained experience in urological, gynaecological, gastrointestinal and head and neck malignancies.

Dr Vignarajah is also a senior lecturer at Griffith University and is actively involved in research and clinical trials, with a focus on advancing radiotherapy techniques and improving patient outcomes.
