Biography
Dr Aaron Kent is a compassionate oncologist dedicated to patient-centred care. With a strong focus on clear communication, Dr Kent ensures patients and their families are fully informed and supported at each stage of what can be a complex and challenging time. Driven by a commitment to achieve the best possible outcome, Dr Kent combines clinical expertise with empathy to ensure every patient feels valued and respected.
Dr Kent is a highly experienced radiation oncologist with subspecialty expertise in genitourinary cancer, prostate brachytherapy, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SABR) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). He was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours and completed specialist training at The Alfred and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Dr Kent was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in Radiation Oncology in 2021.
Dr Kent has worked across several major Australian cancer centres and has extensive experience treating a broad range of cancers, including genitourinary, neuro-oncology, gastrointestinal and lung cancers. In 2024, he was awarded the Thomas Baker Fellowship, undertaking advanced training in prostate brachytherapy and stereotactic radiotherapy at The Christie Hospital, Manchester and The Royal Marsden in London, United Kingdom.
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Kent is actively involved in research, teaching and professional leadership. He contributes to genitourinary cancer guideline development, clinical trials and Radiation Oncology Registrar education, with a strong commitment to evidence-based care and improving access to advanced radiation oncology treatments.
