Biography
Dr Rebecca Moor is a medical oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre South Brisbane. She graduated from the inaugural class of Griffith Medical School in 2008 and completed her Internal Medicine Physician training at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Southeast Queensland. Dr Moor then completed specialist training in medical oncology at several leading tertiary hospitals across Queensland. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2019. In 2020, she undertook a clinical research fellowship at the Mater Cancer Care Centre, and subsequently held staff specialist roles at Mater Cancer Care Centre, Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital.
Dr Moor is actively involved in clinical trials and medical oncology research, serving as a principal and associate investigator on a number of national and international studies. Her research has a particular focus on breast and thoracic cancers. Dr Moor was selected as one of only 20 early-career physicians worldwide for the prestigious International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) Academy and Mentoring Program from 2019 to 2021. Dr Moor is a frequent presenter at both national and international oncology conferences.
With a strong commitment to holistic and evidence-based care, Dr Moor regularly participates in Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings to ensure patients benefit from the latest treatments and collaborative input. She is widely recognised for her compassionate, patient-centred approach and her dedication to advancing cancer care through clinical research.
