Dr Michelle Jalilian is a highly compassionate senior radiation oncologist dedicated to providing her patients with an exceptional level of care. She combines an active interest in clinical research and empathetic approach to care, to support the physical and emotional needs of her patients throughout treatment.
Dr Michelle Jalilian is a senior radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Mulgrave, Icon Cancer Centre Warrnambool and Icon Cancer Centre Geelong. In 1997 Dr Jalilian completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Iran’s Isfahan University of Medical Science and subsequently commenced specialist oncology training at Alfred Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Austin Health. She became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2011.
With extensive and broad experience both as an oncologist and educator, Dr Jalilian is currently Director of Training at Andrew Love Cancer Centre and member of the RANZCR education and training committee (ROETC). She was also previously Director of Training and Head of Melanoma at Alfred Hospital’s William Buckland Radiotherapy Centre. Dr Jalilian is also very active in recruiting eligible patients for clinical trials and has recently completed a ten-year research project on rectal cancer. Her clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with a special interest in breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer and skin cancer. Dr Jalilian is passionate about providing her patients with an exceptional standard of care.
