Dr Louise Nardone is committed to delivering compassionate and patient-centred cancer care. With a detail-oriented approach to care, she works with her patients and their loved ones to personalise treatment plans to suit their individual needs.

Biography

Dr Louise Nardone is a radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Gosford. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Honours at the University of Western Australia and undertook specialist radiation oncology training at Alfred Health and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne. In 2017 Dr Nardone became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) and subsequently completed a stereotactic radiation therapy fellowship at Alfred Health, with a focus on the management and treatment of brain and lung cancers.

With a strong interest in clinical research and medical education, Dr Nardone is an active member of local multidisciplinary meetings with her colleagues and medical community. She had an integral role in establishing the first multinational clinical trial for breast cancer patients at LaTrobe Regional Hospital and was the site principal investigator for the Victorian Lung Cancer Registry. During her tenure at LaTrobe Regional Hospital (2017-2021), Dr Nardone chaired the combined breast, colorectal, skin and lung cancer multidisciplinary meetings. She is also a member of the RANZCR Quality Committee and represents RANZCR on the Clinical Advisory Group of the Australian Clinical Dosimetry Service.

In 2021 Dr Nardone moved to the Central Coast of New South Wales and also works as a Radiation Oncology Staff Specialist and Director of Training at Gosford Hospital. Her clinical experience covers a broad range of malignancies with a special interest in brain cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer and head and neck cancer.
