Biography
Dr Johnson Lam is a radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Norwest and Icon Cancer Centre Wahroonga. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine (BMED) at the University of Newcastle and undertook specialist training across the Northern NSW Advanced Training Network at Westmead, Nepean, Gosford and Coffs Harbour Hospitals. Dr Lam became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2019. Dr Lam is passionate about the utilisation of PET imaging in oncology and completed a fellowship in advanced imaging at Royal North Shore Hospital. Through his radiation oncology staff specialist roles at Westmead and Blacktown Hospitals, he has gained extensive experience in managing a broad range of cancer types.
Dr Lam enjoys teaching and is a clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney. He was a learning advisor for the Sydney Medical Program and a mentor in the RANZCR Mentoring Program pilot. He continues to be active in clinical research and has presented his work in national and international conferences. Dr Lam treats a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with a special interest in breast cancer, prostate cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, skin cancer and lung cancer as well as lymphoma. He can converse in both English and Cantonese, and looks forward to caring for patients and their loved ones in a language they are familiar with.
