Dr Joanne Castelli is a passionate and caring radiation oncologist who is committed to patient centred care. She values clear communication with patients and their loved ones while providing personalised, evidence-based treatment.
Dr Joanne Castelli is a consultant radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre North Lakes and Maroochydore. Dr Castelli completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree at the University of Queensland in 2010, graduating with a research honours in the area of lung cancer. She completed specialist oncology training at major tertiary Queensland centres, gaining extensive experience in managing a broad range of cancers.
In November 2018, Dr Castelli became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR). She subsequently worked as a consultant radiation oncologist at Mater Cancer Care Centre.
Dr Castelli maintains a strong interest in education, research and clinical trials, actively completing clinical research in the areas of intracranial stereotactic radiation therapy and stereotactic body radiation therapy. Her clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with special clinical interest in breast, lung, prostate and skin cancers. Dr Castelli is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to obtain the best possible outcomes for her patients.
