Dr Howard Liu is committed to providing quality, evidence based, patient-focused care. He aims to provide personalised care to meet each individual’s needs and believes it is a privilege to work with patients during what can be their most challenging times.

Biography

Dr Howard Liu is a radiation oncologist who practices at Icon Cancer Centre Greenslopes and Princess Alexandra Hospital. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in Queensland in 2010 before undertaking specialist training in radiation oncology at various tertiary hospitals throughout Queensland. In 2017, Dr Liu started a clinical research fellowship in head and neck cancer and stereotactic radiation therapy at the Princess Alexandra Hospital before his appointment in 2018 as a radiation oncology staff specialist.

Dr Liu is actively involved in clinical and translational research in these fields. He is also involved with medical education of junior doctors and medical students from the University of Queensland. His clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with a special interest in head and neck oncology, skin cancers, soft tissue sarcoma and stereotactic radiation therapy.
