Biography
Dr Elizabeth Foley is a radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Mildura and Icon Cancer Centre Noarlunga. In 2012, she completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) at Flinders University and then undertook specialist radiation oncology training across the South Australian and Northern Territory network. In 2021, Dr Foley was awarded fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR).
Dr Foley has a demonstrated commitment and passion for medical education, quality improvement and clinical governance. She has held appointments as a radiation oncologist at Northern Territory Radiation Oncology (NTRO) and honorary staff specialist at Royal Darwin Hospital. Dr Foley was the Director of Training and Clinical Supervisor at NTRO and a principal investigator of clinical trials at the Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre. Dr Foley prides herself in patient advocacy and enjoys building respectful relationships with her patients and their loved ones by listening to individual concerns and making collaborative management plans.
Her clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies and advanced technologies, including stereotactic, intensity-modulated and volumetric arc therapy (IMRT/VMAT). She has a particular interest in breast cancer, colorectal cancer, gynaecological cancer, lung cancer and palliative care.
