About Icon Cancer Centre Subiaco

Icon Cancer Centre Subiaco delivers world‑class cancer care close to home for Perth’s inner and western suburbs community, establishing itself as a central hub for comprehensive cancer treatment.

Located within St John of God Subiaco Hospital and positioned adjacent to the Bendat Family Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Icon’s radiation oncology services will complete an integrated model of care where radiation oncology, medical oncology, supportive care and research are all available in one location. This co-location brings every aspect of cancer treatment under one roof, offering patients seamless access to complete and coordinated cancer services.

Our compassionate clinical and administrative teams provide personalised care for patients and their loved ones, and the same doctor supports each patient throughout treatment for continuity and peace of mind.

By car

Parking is available in the hospital multi-storey car park (entry via Salvado Road) and the Subiaco Clinic underground car park (entry via McCourt Street).

By public transport

Subiaco Train Station (Fremantle line) is a 10-minute walk; bus services operate on Cambridge Street. Drop-off/pick-up may be at McCourt Street during redevelopment. 

Treatment and care at Icon Cancer Centre Subiaco

  • Radiation oncology

    • Precise radiatiotherapy treatment for all cancer types using a state-of-the-art Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator. 

    • HyperArc – An advanced technique that precisely target multiple intra-cranial metastases with high doses of radiation whilst minimising doses to surrounding healthy brain tissue. 

    • Stereotactic Radiation Therapy – An advanced technique that delivers pinpoint precise radiation therapy to treat small tumours with well-defined edges, including tumours that have spread from a primary cancer. 

    • Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT) using Varian’s IDENTIFY system – An advanced technology that delivers highly-accurate radiation therapy without the need to have permanent tattoo marks.

    • No private health insurance is required and most costs will be rebated for those that hold a valid Medicare card.
