Our services

Icon Hobart’s genetic counselling service provides cancer risk assessment, genetic testing and advice.

We are able to receive referrals for patients with a personal or family history of breast, ovarian, pancreatic, prostate, bowel, or endometrial cancers.

Our genetic counsellor offers consultation appointments on-site at Icon Hobart and is also able to provide telehealth appointments.

Our genetic counsellor

Julia Mansour is a registered and certified clinical genetic counsellor with experience providing genetic counselling for reproductive planning, adult onset conditions, cardiac genetics and cancer genetics.

Julia is happy to receive referrals or enquiries from people with a personal or family history of breast, ovarian, prostate, pancreatic, bowel or endometrial (uterine) cancer. She is also happy to assess whether she can support people with other types of cancer if there is a strong family history.

Julia is passionate about helping people understand more about their family health history and the implications for their personal health. Julia will listen and help you access the information you need to clarify your health risks and take proactive steps to manage these risks.
