Biography
Dr Miriam Boxer is a radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Concord. In 1995, she completed her Bachelor of Health Science (BHSc) at the University of Adelaide. She then earned First Class Honours in 1996 and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) in 2000 from Flinders University, South Australia. Dr Boxer began her formal radiation oncology training in Wollongong, which she later completed at Liverpool and Campbelltown Hospitals in Sydney and became a Fellow of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2010.
Dr Boxer is passionate about sharing her knowledge through education and authorship. She is proud to have spent six years as the Director of Training at Liverpool and Campbelltown hospitals in Sydney where she recruited, mentored and supervised medical trainees. She has also contributed to several publications concerning lung cancer, breast cancer and the impact of peer review.
Her clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with a special interest in lung cancer, breast cancer, safety and quality, as well as peer review and education.
