Dr Shibu Joseph is an experienced radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Warrnambool. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at India’s Calicut Medical College in 1996 and undertook specialist oncology training in India, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. During his time in the United Kingdom, he completed oncology training at leading hospitals including the Royal Marsden Hospital, London and became a member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 2005.
Dr Joseph became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) in 2016 after completing training in Hamilton, New Zealand. He subsequently worked as a visiting radiation oncologist at the University Hospitals of North Midlands and the Chistie Hospital, Manchester where he specialised in neuro-oncology. Dr Joseph is also an Affiliate Senior Lecturer at Deakin University’s School of Medicine. His clinical experience covers a broad range of malignancies with a special interest in neuro-oncology, uro-oncology, gynaecological cancers with brachytherapy, haematological malignancies and sarcoma. Dr Joseph also maintains an active interest in clinical trials and treating benign conditions with radiation therapy.
