Dr Sandra Harvey is a medical oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Revesby. Dr Harvey undertook her specialty training in Sydney at RPA, Concord, Liverpool and Macarthur Cancer Centres. In 2010-2011, she then pursued a Clinical Research fellowship at Peter McCallum Cancer Centre and Jack Brockhoff Familial Cancer Centre in Melbourne in Breast Cancer/Genetics, as well as gynaecological medical oncology at the Royal Women’s Hospital.
Dr Harvey is a Staff Specialist and Director of Clinical Cancer Research at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital since 2012. In addition to clinical work, Dr Harvey is an active clinical researcher, with a Specialist and Professional Certificate in Clinical Research, Oncology (Hons) from the University of Melbourne. Furthermore, Dr Harvey has published in international peer reviewed journals on women at moderate and high risk of breast/gynae cancers. She has also received the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Foundation Merit Award for research in women from families at increased breast cancer risk. She is a principal investigator on a number of national and international trials.
Dr Harvey has special interest in breast, gynaecological and lung cancers, breast cancer risk assessment and management of women at moderately and potentially high risk of breast cancer.
