Dr Chang completed her medical training in Christian Medical College, Vellore and obtained her oncology fellowship in Adelaide. During her training, she worked in all the major public hospitals in Adelaide. She then worked in Olivia Newton John Cancer Centre, Melbourne as a research/clinical trials fellow and was heavily involved in Phase 1 clinical trials. Working in major oncology centres has enabled her to gain experience and competence in managing all common solid tumours as well as rarer cancers. Her research mainly involves immunotherapy for various type of cancers, biomarkers and phase 1 drugs. She has actively recruited patients to high quality clinical trials. She has written chemotherapy protocols for EVIQ (the national guideline for oncology in Australia), continues to publish in scientific journals, presents at national meetings and conferences to keep up to date with current developments in medical oncology. Dr Chang believes in targeted drug treatment, clinical trials and a multi-disciplinary approach to deliver the highest standard of patient care whilst at the same time maintaining focus on a patients’ quality of life.
