Dr Edward Sun
Dr Sun graduated from the University of Sydney in 1982. He was then awarded the NSW State Cancer Council Training Fellowship in radiation oncology in 1984. He then undertook specialty training in radiation oncology at Westmead Hospital and the Prince of Wales Hospital between 1984 and 1987. Furthermore, in 1984 he won the C.E. Eddy Prize for being the most successful candidate in D.R.A.C.R. Part 1 examination.
After completing his fellowship in 1988, Dr Sun then became a senior registrar in radiation oncology at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick. He then joined St. Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst as a locum staff specialist at in 1989. From 1990 to 1991, Dr Sun then became Medical and Health Officer at the Institute of Radiotherapy, Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong, where he gained experience in head and neck, gynaecological cancers and brachytherapy techniques. In 1992 Dr Sun joined the Sydney Radiotherapy and Oncology practice. He is currently consulting at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai District Hospital and Gosford Private Hospital.
Dr Sun is also a clinical teacher with the University of Sydney and the University of Newcastle.
